The powerful Rosary

Today I wish to share with you one of the most powerful prayers in the name of the Virgin Mary, the Rosary which is one of the most famous prayers in Christianity, mainly followed by the Catholics.The Rosary is one prayer that I had always believed in and which gives a lot of peace to the mind and gets help from the mother of God, the virgin Mary.I hope this will help in your everyday life and I urge all to pray the rosary as much as you can.

The word Rosary comes from the Latin word Rosarium which can be depicted as a garland of roses or a garden of roses.The Rosary is considered to be provided by the Virgin Mary and is considered to be the most powerful weapon against the Satan. A true prayer using the rosary gives a heavenly feeling and gives us eternal blessings.

Many people have shown doubts regarding whether the rosary is powerful enough and to them I would say experience the prayer with the heart first and then you will never mistrust the power of the rosary. I consider myself very blessed to pray with the rose scented traditional rosary from Italy, blessed by Pope Benedict XVI. The rosary is a method by which we venerate the virgin Mary and thereby showing our respect to God himself. The Virgin Mary is the mother of Jesus himself, and for any person the first and foremost of all relations is the one with his/her mother. Virgin Mary stands as a golden door that opens to heaven and by the rosary and good deeds, she always helps us to reach the heavenly kingdom her son has entrusted to us.

Here I give a usual approved form of how we pray the rosary (see the pic to see the beads structure; as it has 53 small beads its also called 53 beaded rosary each depicting a recital of Hail Mary)

  • A sign of the cross on the Crucifix and then the Apostles' Creed;
  • An Our Father on the first large bead;
  • A Hail Mary on each of the three small beads with the following intentions (the theological virtues):
    1. For the increase of faith
    2. For the increase of hope
    3. For the increase of charity
  • A Glory Be to the Father;
  • Announce the mystery
  • An "Our Father" on the large bead
  • A "Hail Mary" on each of the adjacent ten small beads;
  • A "Glory Be to the Father";
  • (The Fatima Prayer is commonly added here, as a pious addition: "O My Jesus, Forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven. Especially those most in need of thy mercy.")
  • Announce the next mystery, again an Our Father on the next large bead, followed by ten Hail Marys on the small beads, the Glory Be to the Father, (and Fatima Prayer, cf. below) for each of the following decades;
  • In conclusion, Hail Holy Queen and a sign of the cross.
